Corporate Governance and Commitments

1. The Chambre de Commerce et d’Industrie de Paris and Unibail-Rodamco have put forward their undertakings in “Undertakings to the DGCCRF” (a document that you may print out or download as a PDF file via the previous link), with a view to enabling the Minister for the Economy to declare that the operation to merge the conference/exhibition activities of the two parties is not likely to infringe upon rules dealing with competition in the markets in question.

2. In compliance with these undertakings, Mr. Dominique Leger has been appointed the Authorized Representative responsible for ensuring the Chambre de Commerce et d’Industrie de Paris and Unibail-Rodamco strictly adhere to these undertakings. 3. Under the terms of these undertakings, two meetings to present schedules for all venues for the next 24 months are to be organized twice yearly by VIPARIS with the organizers of pivotal exhibitions*, grandfathered* organizers and organizers requesting a slot* for the next 24 months, one in April and the other in October.

The VIPARIS companies are jointly owned by the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIP) and the Unibail-Rodamco company.

Board of Directors
Jean-Yves Durance is president of the Board of Directors of the companies VIPARIS Porte de Versailles and VIPARIS Le Palais des Congrès de Paris.

He has been vice-president in charge of conventions and exhibitions for the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIP) since he was elected to that position in 2000. A graduate of the École Polytechnique and Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris, the greater part of his career (1965-2001) was spent at Crédit Lyonnais, where he was a member of the Executive Committee in charge of central administration at French branches. He was then Chairman of the Board of Directors for Marsh France, a worldwide leader in insurance brokerage, until 2006. He is a long-time instructor at IEP de Paris and sits on its executive board.
